Account information: Your email address (used for secure login) and/or third-party login identity for authentication.
Profile information: Your chosen nickname and username.
Content: The TIL entries, categories, and tags you create and publish.
Usage data: Basic page view statistics for public pages, including page paths, referrers, browser metadata, and approximate location (derived from IP).
Analytics provider: We use Umami Cloud (umami.is) for privacy-focused analytics.
Technical data: Standard server logs including IP addresses, user agent strings, and request timestamps, retained for security and operational purposes.
Your data is stored in secure databases. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, there is a 30-day cooling-off period during which you can cancel deletion. After the cooling-off period, your data is permanently removed from our systems.
OpenTIL is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
